Area briefs: Nominations for Eva Trager Memorial due; Dignity Grow bags to be assembled

Jewish Federation to kick off new Dignity Grows program

HADLEY — The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts’ Women’s Philanthropy is inviting the community to help neighbors in need at Amherst Survival Center by packing Dignity Grows bags. The bags will be filled with a month’s worth of personal and menstrual hygiene products.

The bags will be packed on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at 14 Hockanum Road in Hadley.

Dignity Grows is powered by Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy to provide women, girls, and individuals assigned female at birth in need with essential hygiene products so that they can attend school and work and participate in community life without interruption.
