Bigger isn’t always better.

Sometimes an opportunity presents itself, and you need a little bit of money to make an event happen – and you can’t wait three months for an answer. The Jewish Endowment Foundation, a division of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, recognizes that on occasion you need to know within a week or two whether you can bring in that musician for $250.

Good news! We are very happy to announce the introduction of a micro-grant program for amounts between $100 and $500 for unexpected one-time events or speakers fees.

Requests from Jewish organizations in the Pioneer Valley for unplanned/unbudgeted opportunities will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Requirements:

  • Applications must be received at least 30 days before the event.
  • Recipients must acknowledge the grant in all marketing materials for the program (Funding for this program was provided (in part) by the Jewish Endowment Foundation of Western Massachusetts) with the cobranded Federation/JEF logo.
  • Recipients must submit a short report (copy attached) within 60 days after the event.
  • Recipients must submit at least 3 photos of the event. (Events occurring on Shabbat are exempt from this requirement.)
