Jewish community groups, politicians in Mass. condemn Hamas attacks
As the conflict between the Israeli military and the militant Palestinian group Hamas escalated Saturday, Jewish community groups and members of Congress in Massachusetts moved to condemn the terrorist attacks on Israel.
From Springfield to Boston, Jewish community groups across Massachusetts took time amid Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, to denounce Saturday’s hostilities. The attacks also fall on a sacred holiday period for the religion.
The conflict has already claimed the lives of at least 100 Israelis and 198 Palestinians, according to reports from The New York Times.
