Dear Friends,
We are excited to share with you that Adam Solender has joined the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts as Interim Executive Director, and the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Director of the Jewish Endowment Foundation. His extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and unwavering commitment to Jewish communal life will provide steady guidance for our organization.
Adam brings extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as CEO of the Jewish Educational Alliance (JEA), Savannah, Georgia’s JCC, Savannah Jewish Federation and its Jewish Family Services and Foundation Endowment, for over seventeen years. Prior to his leadership in Savannah, Adam guided the Manchester, NH Jewish Federation through its transition to a statewide entity. His dedication to Jewish communal life and deep understanding of nonprofit leadership make him exceptionally well-suited to guide our organization.
In addition to his service to the Savannah Jewish community, Adam has been involved with the Savannah Economic Opportunity Authority as Treasurer and is the President of the American Friends of Israel Association of Community Centers. He met his wife, Sarah Denmark, on a Springfield Jewish Federation Israel Mission. Together, they have two sons, David (married to Megan) and Aaron and, a beloved puppy, Lillian.
We are confident that under Adam’s interim leadership in the Federation and his expertise in Philanthropy with the Endowment, our mission and commitment to serving the Jewish community will continue uninterrupted. Please welcome Adam, and if you have any questions, please contact us. We appreciate your support as we navigate this time of transition.
Best regards,

Robyn Newhouse
