Grants & Scholarships
The Jewish Endowment Foundation (JEF) of Western Massachusetts, a division of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, has a variety of funds that provide money for grants, scholarships, travel to and study in Israel, Jewish education, professional development, missions, social justice, Holocaust education. Its Unrestricted Funds support JEF’s operations and provide grants to local organizations for a variety of purposes through a grants process. Following are some grants and scholarships currently available.
Program & Event Grants
JEF offers various funds that provide money for grants, Jewish education, professional development, missions, social justice, and Holocaust education. Israel Travel Grants & Scholarships
Apply for up to $1,500 to subsidize your educational trip to Israel with a grant or scholarship!
Funding for this category of grants and scholarships is provided by a group of funds from the Jewish Endowment Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts. They were created to help students and adults defray costs of traveling to and studying in Israel.

Springfield Council of Jewish Women College Scholarship
JEF Common Fund College Scholarship
The SCJW has awarded more than $2.5 million dollars to financially assist thousands of local students in their pursuit of higher education. Scholarships are available to all qualified undergraduate students regardless of race, religion, or gender. Applicants must be residents of Chicopee, Springfield, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Hampden, Agawam or West Springfield. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on a combination of academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students are eligible to renew their awards for their full four years of their undergraduate collegiate career. Renewal applicants will receive a link via email to a renewal form.
