2/4/22: Shabbat Shalom From Interim Executive Director Nora Gorenstein

Meet our new Engagement Associate, Joelle Simon!

Dear Friend,

As Shabbat draws near, I am grateful for the dedicated Trustees, volunteers, and staff of our Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts who have continued to fulfill our organizational mission, ensuring the continuity and well-being of a vibrant Jewish community in the Pioneer Valley, Israel and the world. We work together with local and global partners to educate, advocate for, and support Jews wherever they live by planning and evaluating strategically; raising and allocating funds; and developing, inspiring, and providing leadership.

To do great work, we need a great team, and I am proud to announce that we have added to our staff Engagement Coordinator Joelle Simon, who is working part-time to support our engagement work.

What does “engagement” mean? (Other than one possible result of our events for Jewish singles!)

The Community Engagement program of the Jewish Federation of Western Mass. provides accessible opportunities for people of all faiths, ages, and identities to connect and engage with our Jewish community. This includes NextGen, Women’s Philanthropy, community events, newcomer events, and more!

As we bring to fruition the next stage of our in-person and hybrid events and engagement programs, I hope you will join me in welcoming Joelle to our Federation family! She can be reached at jsimon@jewishwesternmass.org.

Are you or someone you know new to the area or just interested in learning more about our local organizations and programs? Send Joelle an email introduction! We would love to welcome new friends and connections.

As always, please reach out at any time!

Shabbat shalom,
